‘He was a Swiss Club member and he was also a very well known artist in Switzerland. Karl ‘Carlo’ Baumann was born 15th October 1914 in Zurich Albisrieden. He has painted all over the world, mainly in Switzerland, Africa, America, Japan, Thailand and most of Europe but he also performed his experienced brushstrokes right here in Perth, Australia. Carlo’s work was varied and included Landscapes, Portraits, and many animal paintings particularly of horses—his main love.’
